Joshua Spacek is a self-taught painter based in the South of France. Working in oil and acrylic on canvas, paper, and vintage linen, his figurative paintings emerge from a practice rooted in close observation and layered mark-making. A former professional musician and chef, he approaches painting as a third embodied language. Through his practice he is exploring the ideas of perception, emotional resonance, color and the act of creation itself.
